Freelance Product Owner (ZZP)

Within Grid Digital Channels Personal Banking we are looking for an Product owner to be part of the development teams in the Internet Banking Insurance domain.

We are responsible for building and maintaining our Insurance products.  

Building a digital products is a great experience, but it can be a challenging process. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and has a relentless focus on creating value for our customers. Our ideal candidate has experience in working within a banking environment. The Product Owner will work closely with the internal and external stakeholders, working to find alignment and guide the team towards delivery our Insurance products.  

Our department (called 'Grid' in ABN AMRO) consists of approximately 300 business and IT professionals with more than twenty different nationalities. Our product owners are part of the business. The working language within the Grid is English. We work hybrid, with Gustav Mahlerlaan in Amsterdam as our office. Your role is part of the Insurance Block and reports to the Lead Product Owner

– Insurance & Payments.

You are setting out a strategy for the Insurance blocks on the topics of new product development, continues improvement of sales & service performance and looking forward to implement new front-end designs. Next to that you will be responsible for separate project within the Insurance superblock.

With the following results:

• You use the DevOps principles to combine technology with processes to reduce lead time of our change and increase customer value.

• You are able to explain technical improvements in terms of business benefits.

• You do this by taking stakeholders along in the vision and strategy, roadmaps and align priorities.

• You shape the roadmap based on input of your stakeholders.

• You make progress transparent via e.g. reviews, dashboards, demos

• You build bridges by every now and then overstepping your own boundaries

• You and the block deliver and maintain the internet banking Insurance product(s).

• You support/lead ongoing Superblock/Grid projects

Requirements:

• You have al least 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role 

• You can write user stories and translate business requirements into technical requirements. Together with the team you’ll refine the work to be done 

• You will be the go-to person for the dev-ops team with knowledge about our products and working closely with our business stakeholders.  

• You can analyse data and create clarity from complex information.  

• You have knowledge of and experience with Agile (Scrum) methodology 

• AzureBoards

• JiraAlign

• PowerBI

• Experience at a bank or financial institution is preferred.
