Freelance Sr. Accountant (ZZP)

• Belangrijk is dat iemand echt ervaring heeft bij Amerikaanse beursgenoteerde bedrijven en op die manier ervaring heeft opgedaan met US GAAP.

• Nederlands hoeft niet, UK is een must.

• Beleid is drie dagen per week naar de office in Amsterdam. Zitten naast de Arena, vlakbij Bijlmerstation

Tasks & Responsibilities

Country Controllership;

+ Interim Country controllership for various Palo Alto Networks legal entities/countries (approx. 11 legal entities across 7 countries)

+ Responsibilities include keeping oversight and supervising the work performed by a small team of 3 - 4 GL resources in the Palo Alto Networks CeO in Bangalore, India

Month & Quarter Close;

+ Review and approval of journal entries in SAP

+ Prepare journal entries for more complex transactions and upload these in SAP

+ Prepare, review and approval of account reconciliations in Blackline - account reconciliations are prepared by GL resources in the PAN CoE

+ Complete monthly flux analysis, and present to EMEA Accounting Leadership on monthly basis

Local GAAP Financial Statements;

+ Prepare US GAAP to Local GAAP bridge schedules for a number of legal entities

+ Draft the local GAAP financial statements

External Audits;

+ Coordinate and drive the completion of local GAAP Audits, prepare PBC items as requested by our external auditors

+ Timely follow-up and resolve any external auditor questions

Ad-hoc Projects;

+ Assist with new entity enablements readiness activities

+ Assist with developing SAP non-leading functionality and processes

Requirements:

• Qualified senior accounting professional with deep knowledge and hands-on work experience with US public listed (US GAAP reporting) multinational companies

• Ability to complete high quality balance sheet reviews, balance sheet and income statement monthly fluctuation analysis, and present results to senior accounting leadership

• In-depth and hands-on working knowledge in preparing US GAAP to Local GAAP bridge schedules, and the preparation of Local GAAP Financial Statements

• In-depth and hands-on working knowledge of managing external auditor requirements

• Sufficient level and maturity to be able to supervise the quality of work performed by a team of remotely based supporting GL resources

• Advanced SAP working ability and experience, well-versed with for example international foreign currency transactional and reporting workflows in SAP

• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
