Freelance Senior Application Security Consultant (ZZP)

Application security includes all tasks that introduce a secure software development life cycle to development teams. Its primary goal is to improve security practices and, through that, to find, fix and preferably prevent security issues within applications. It encompasses the whole application life cycle from requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification as well as maintenance.

With the following results:

Implementation of a Secure Software Develoment framework, best practices and methodology perform Design and Code reviews, perform security audits on applications and advise on the implementation of automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines. Further enhancement and maturation of the Application security capability.

Requirements:

• Knowledge on secure software development best practices (e.g. OWASP, NIST, ISO and CERT Secure Coding) 

• At least 10 years experience in software development of which at least 3 years of secure software development.

• Proven track record in succesful secure software development implementations

• Experience in building and maturing an application security program.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Some further information on what we are looking for, the candidate we are looking for should have programming skills or have been a past developer, has moved in security or has security knowledge, and some sort of indicators that this person is able to lead on this topic while driving things forward. If this person has built an Application Security program in the past or involved in one is a definite plus.
