Freelance Senior EMC Test Engineer (ZZP)
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Execute objective and reproducible EMC tests of the Quality Laboratory (QLAB). You will interpret and report test results and report to the Manager Quality Laboratory.
You are responsible for:
Quality:
• Give recommendations to continually improve the Management System of the QLAB
• Provide feedback based upon the experiences gained and cooperate in corrective and preventive actions
• Initiate changes, if applicable, for all instructions and templates relevant to the work of testing Technical (with respect to safety compliance testing):
• Interpret test designs and independently plan and perform tests;
• Create and build test set-ups compliant to the international EMC standards;
• Validate test set-ups, by executing and interpreting performance verification measurements on daily basis;
• Document observations unambiguously and with sufficient detail so they can be used as basis for the pass/fail decisions;
• Interpret EMC phenomena;
• Analyze and interpret test results; balance observations with the test specification and international standards;
• Decide on compliance (judge on pass/fail of each test against the performance criteria);
• Prepare and compile test reports according to internal requirements and international standards;
• Operate test and measuring equipment; analyze any potential failure in the measurement equipment;
• Set-up, test, maintain and troubleshoot test and measurement equipment, including software, for the purpose of testing and measuring assemblies and/or final systems and related items;
• Is attentive for nonconforming work and reports this if applicable;
You are a part of:
A small, but dedicated team of Test Engineers. The QLAB plays a vital role in ensuring the patients safety by demonstrating compliance with the relevant safety standards. The QLAB is an independent laboratory and operates within its own Quality Management System.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
• A Bachelors (BSc) or Masters (MSc) degree in electronic engineering;
• At least 5 years of practical experience in the field of EMC Testing;
• Knowledge and experience of quality management systems and regulatory affairs;
• Quality-conscious, disciplined, accurate, honest and representative;
• Good organisational skills and able to take responsibility;
• Good team leadership skills;
• Good in verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus.
