Freelance Senior Data & Automation Engineer Procurement (ZZP)

Data & Analytics has become a key discipline for Global Procurement. We’re driving competitive advantage for our client by treating procurement data and analytics as a strategic asset. Working closely with Global Category Procurement and local Business Procurement and the specialists of the global IT department, you will play a crucial role in setting up and implementing our procurement D&A strategy. You will do this together with the newly formed team of talented data, reporting and market analytics experts.

The Data & Analytics team is engaged in many high impact projects and strategies within the procurement department. From data-driven market analysis & forecasting to smart data management, to data modelling, data science, automation and GenAI. You will have the opportunity to drive robotization projects and contribute to efficiency and automation for our client.

The Procurement Data & Analytics team consists of 9 members located in the Netherlands, Hungary and Singapore. Leading procurement in data driven decision making and insights generation. Together our client is driving the Data agenda of our client, creating an engaging journey for our 300 Procurement professionals to become true data citizens.

Tasks:

• Automating content generation (purchasing catalogues) from contracts we’ve closed with our suppliers;

• Automating flow of market price data into internal Cost Price Management tool (running on PowerApps);

• Automating various underlying parts of Source-to-Contract process;

• Building and managing (complex) data pipelines;

• Data staging and validation;

• Documenting automated processes, workflows and technical specifications;

• Collaborate with the Procurement and IT teams.

What we ask?

Our ideal candidate is equipped with extensive technical knowledge and is a self-starter who can work with limited but sufficient context/guidance from the D&A team members.

• Graduate in Computer Science, Business Administration or other relevant studies. If no relevant study, demonstrably relevant experience and interest;

• 10+ years working experience in Data Engineering/Automation/RPA;

• Experience with UI Path is required, Power Platform or other RPA tooling is a plus;

• Knowledge of business process modelling & management is a plus:

  • Ability to design and implement automated workflows

  • Experience with integrating RPA tools with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, databases)

  • Understanding of APIs and web services

  • Knowledgeable in RPA lifecycle from inception to deployment

• Experience with SQL and Python is required, nice to have experience on Javascript, HTML

• Hands-on working experience with D&A cloud services. Experience with Azure D&A services, especially ADF and Azure Databricks is a plus

• Understanding of Data Engineering Framework / ETL concepts

• Experience with Dashboarding apps (Power BI) is a plus

• Fluency in English
