Job description
SHPP Capital Treasury is organized in 3 different functional areas. The purpose of the role is to support and execute daily Treasury Services back-office activities. Primary role includes the accounting of regional bank statements and treasury transactions, confirmation of treasury deals, executing treasury and non-treasury payments processing in the region and supporting the cash management, debt and derivatives of Treasury Operations on regional level.
The role includes working with the internal stakeholders i.e. Several Finance teams, Global Tax, ISR, and SABIC Treasury Team. The Mid/Back Office Analyst will be part of Global SHPP Treasury team and will be reporting to the Treasury Mid/Back Office Sr. Manager.
Tasks and responsibilities
Bank accounts and payments (60% of job)
Payment execution within Bank Statement Monitor, including:
Merging of payments into batches and releasing the payments (1st and 2nd approvals)
Next day clearing of Payment-in-Transit Accounts
Follow-up on non STP payments (late payment, rejections, OFAC Hit, …)
Regional Bank Statement processing of all external and internal Banks statements
Execution of journal postings towards intermediate accounts
Daily clearing of the Payment in Transit account Accounts Payable (executed via BCM)
Daily follow up of the Treasury Journal postings for the specific region
Interaction with local banks to obtain 100% availability
Administer and provide supporting data to the subsidiaries participating in the Global Cash Pool to ensure that the sweeps and interest arerecorded properly in their GLs
Monthly and quarterly reports
Treasury Master data (10% of job)
Up to date TMS with the required external and internal financial and transactional data.
Updates and maintenances of IC loan, bank guarantees
Others (30% of job)
Assist Process Excellence Team in day-to-day activities to increase the level of automation of the above- mentioned tasks. This will be done in close cooperation and supervision of the Process Excellence Specialist
Review and approve banking platform access requests from user via support central tool.
Control, assist, and coordinate Treasury processes in the regions to ensure compliance of the International Treasury Policy
Coordinate intercompany loan documentation, interest expense calculations for the applicable subsidiaries in the region and as needed
Participate in the roll out of International Treasury initiatives
Document, monitor and analyze monthly bank fees
TMS issue handling
Job requirements
University degree in Finance and Accounting /Economics/Business Administration
Knowledge of Treasury Systems i.e SAP is a plus
2-4 years of working experience in a Finance or Treasury organization
Experience in AR or AP organization desirable
Hands-on individual who is able to multi-task effectively
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Proficient in English speaking and writing is a must. (Dutch is a plus)
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Advanced knowledge of Excel is desirable
