Freelance Product Owner BI (FEC) (ZZP)

The Product Owner (PO) for the Business Intelligence (BI) team Financial Economic Crime (FEC) is responsible to serve the teams of Financial Economic Crime with BI powered use cases. You are responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog for BI solutions that meet the organization’s needs. You are responsible to ensure BI use cases are operationalised. The team creates managed BI solutions and supports Self-service BI teams. Also the team enables Data Analytics solutions (fabric warehousing), giving end users the tools and data to create their own analysis. The PO works closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data engineers, and BI developers to ensure that BI solutions are effective, efficient, and aligned with strategic FEC goals.

With the following results:

1. Backlog Management:

• Prioritize and manage the product backlog, focusing on delivering maximum value to the organization

• Ensure that user stories and acceptance criteria are clear and detailed.

• Regularly align with stakeholders to ensure the backlog reflects business needs and strategic goals.

2. Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the BI team and business stakeholders.

• Maintain clear communication regarding progress, priorities, and outcomes.

• Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

3. Vision and Strategy:

• Help develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for BI solutions within the organization.

• Identify opportunities to expand and optimize self-service BI capabilities.

4. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with BI developers, data analysts, and data engineers to ensure solutions meet technical requirements.

• Facilitate Scrum events such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Monitor team progress and performance.

5. Quality and Compliance:

• Ensure that BI solutions meet quality standards and compliance requirements.

• Conduct acceptance testing and validate the delivered products.

1. Business Intelligence:

• Deep understanding of BI principles and experience managing BI projects.

• Experience with self-service BI environments

• Data analytics solutions

2. Azure Synapse Analytics and Fabric:

• Strong knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics for data integration, storage, and analysis

• Understanding of Synapse architecture and its deployment for enterprise-wide data solutions

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including integration and collaboration with Synapse.

3. Agile Scrum:

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Ability to lead Scrum events and facilitate the development of user stories.

4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with (non-)technical stakeholders.

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to business users.

5. Experience

• > 5 years of experience as a PO (or similar role)

• Proven experience and knowledge in the field of Financial Economic Crime

6. Leadership:

• Ability to inspire and motivate the BI team.

• Provide leadership by setting a vision and direction for the team.
