Freelance Platform Engineer (ZZP)

KPN is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with experience in Azure DevOps, Logstash and Grafana Loki to join our team. In this role, you'll lead Logfile Management initiatives like Logstash-as-a-Service and Grafana Loki within the KPN Data Services Hub, focusing on ensuring the reliability and performance of our products. We're looking for individuals with a strong affinity for logging/monitoring solutions, and who is passionate about security with a keen focus on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). This position supports a product that operates on a 24/7 basis, ensuring maximum reliability and performance for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovate and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions, with a focus on processing large data volumes efficiently.

• Take ownership of platform lifecycle management, from initial design to ongoing operational support.

• Develop and optimize operational processes, utilizing your expertise in logging/monitoring solutions to enhance platform reliability and efficiency.

• Engage with streaming technologies, including Kafka, and integrate principles like Data Mesh to optimize data architecture in conjunction with Logstash and Grafana Loki.

• Collaborate and share knowledge within the team, supporting both internal and external stakeholders with a spirit of cooperation and mutual growth.

• Lead and mentor, fostering a culture of learning and development among colleagues and customers, encouraging diversity of thought and approach.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Logstash and Grafana Loki, with experience in building resilient, scalable solutions for logging and monitoring.

• Demonstrated expertise in handling high-volume data processing with precision, specifically within Logstash and Grafana Loki environments.

• Strong understanding of streaming technologies, especially Kafka, and familiarity with data architecture concepts like Data Mesh.

• Proven experience in developing and refining operational processes within a DevOps framework.

• Exceptional teamwork and mentoring skills, embracing diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

• Fluent in English, with a preference for Dutch speakers.
