Freelance Medior Netwerk Engineer (ZZP)

Your role:

Our client is a company focusing themselves on improving the value that they get from its investments in technology. They work fast, hard, and are passionate about what they do. Our client is currently looking for a Network Engineer to join their IT Infrastructure team to work closely with their Corporate Services, Operations, and other groups to implement and maintain quality and customer focused solutions.

Based on the nature of their industry, their solutions utilize and rely on a wide variety of technologies. As such, for our client, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated person who can administer enterprise solutions as well as be flexible enough to explore revolutionary or “outside the box” ideas to get the job done! 

People who take pride in being a subject matter expert in their domain yet understand and explore the many other talents of IT; someone with expert knowledge of Cisco IOS and networking in general, is the key person they are looking for.

This medior network engineer will assist the existing team in day-to-day operations and project-based activities. The assignment will initially be for a period of six months with the option to extend, probably to at least 1 year!

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network solutions (as a part of the Network Engineering team;

• Maintain and update detailed network documentation;

• Provide support for all network related issues;

• Manage and/or participate in medium to large network projects (also utilizing remote hands vendors and internal staff);

• Work independently on projects based on pre-devised project plan;

• Deliver project support on a life cycle projects in EMEA.

What you’ll bring? (Please add motivation letter in where we can see you meet those requirements)

• Minimum five years’ experience as a network engineer responsible for a primarily Cisco based network

• Expert knowledge of Cisco products, their functionality, configuration and best practices 

• DMVPN, SSL VPN, IPSEC VPN

• Working knowledge of firewall administration (FortiGate/ FortiManager/ FortiAnalyzer/ FortiAuthenticator/ FortiClient)

• Working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking configuration and protocols

• Working knowledge of SolarWinds, Cisco DNA, Python, Ansible

• Well versed in the English language
