Job description
The Marketplace Manager in the Consumer Direct team is responsible for the Philips third party marketplace program in Western Europe, accelerating new businesses by driving direct to consumer e-commerce via third party platforms. By interfacing with strategic partners and joint business builders, the Marketplace Manager orchestrates external product presentation, media activation and sales to unlock new pillars of growth for the Philips Western Europe.
Identifying new business opportunities, negotiating service contracts, optimizing and developing existing marketplaces even further are key aspects of the Marketplace Managers role.
You are responsible for:
Develop new marketplace concepts end-to-end with respective stakeholders and functional teams
Monitor and drive optimizations of existing marketplace businesses, always trying to continuously improve relevant KPI's
Define portfolio selection and listings per marketplace to fit different marketplace archetypes and strategic purposes
Team up with Consumer Store Merchandising and Supply-Teams ensuring to offer the right products by serving excellent content experience and sufficient supply
Build and manage relationship and team up with Marketplace Account Executive counterpart in order to grow together the partnership, jointly define strategies to grow the business, develop campaigns, etc.
Debugging and drive improvement of feed-data running via Integrator-solutions to external platforms
Identifying process gaps of new business model and propose and implement improvements to drive operational excellence
Negotiate service contracts with external platform providers (marketplaces) and define growth strategies.
Share insights, best-practices and traffic data with internal stakeholders and the Consumer Direct WE Team to scale learning-curves in e-commerce
Extract value for the Philips Consumer Direct WE capabilities by approaching new environments and audiences
Understand the end-to-end business to influence priorities and provide actionable business insights to enable effective decision-making
Constructing, proposing and evaluating individual deals to test, learn and scale!
Requirements
Proven track record in Marketplace or E-commerce business is a must.
Hands on, Pro active mind set to deal with operational issues. Act with speed and agility.
E2E experience on platform interfacing incl. all functional pillars like procurement (RFPs), technical integration, demand planning, conversion optimization and financial recognition of sales.
Ability to employ commercial acumen and understanding of consumer experience.
Build strong relationships with a variety of internal and external (Marketplace platforms and Integrator partner) stakeholders from different seniority level.
A continuous improvement mindset & the ambition to set trends.
Outgoing and positive personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong program management, including end to end planning of cross-organizational projects and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Proven ability to make sound principled decisions under pressure and find the "right" path even when headwinds are present.
