Freelance Lead Data Engineer & Solution Architect (ZZP)

About 60% of the time, you will work in your own Scrum Team [Rv1]  as a development engineer. Furthermore you are responsible for platform solution design and you will work closely with Data Engineers and Data Analysts in other scrum team teams on designing and developing future-proof end-to-end IT solutions. You will also be responsible to train junior developers.

With the following results:

• Being a pro-active sparring partner with Solution Architects. This includes aligning on system architecture and maintaining the Solution Design of INSTAGRAMS

• Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.

• Staying up-to-date with ABN Amro standards and enforcing them (IT control tower KPIs).

• Working in an Agile environment and advocating the Agile and CICD processes on Azure infrastructure. 

• You mentor your developers, evaluate technical assessments and ensure that new employees are properly onboarded. 

• Mentoring developers on technical craftsmanship. 

• Proper alignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the technological landscape and lifecycle.

Requirements (mention in CV and/or motivation):

• Expert in data engineering 

• Experienced with cloud solutions and Azure infrastructure

• Hands on with building data solutions with Big Data and Orchestration tooling (i.e. Databricks, Spark and Airflow)

• Deep understanding of data processes, data pipelines (ETL), and data lifecycle

• Good understanding of and experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices

• Experience with coaching and mentoring your less experienced team members in their design and development activities 

• You have knowledge of and are interested in the latest IT-trends, both within and outside your area of expertise (Cloud, API, Open Banking, CI/CD, SOA, etc.) 

• Having relevant certifications like Azure DP-203, PCAP for Python and Databricks Associate Data Engineering is a plus

• Fluent in English 

Azure Python Spark en voornamelijk Airflow zijn echt noodzakelijk. Daarnaast Solution design/architect skills zijn echt belangrijk!
