Expert in IoT security and Secure Software Development
Job Description
In this position, you'll collaborate closely with software development teams, as well as manufacturing and engineering divisions within Royal Philips, to enhance security protocols.
Your role involves defining and implementing solutions to elevate security to a higher level of maturity, aligning with established roadmaps. We seek an adept specialist who is enthusiastic about advancing their expertise in Secure Software Development processes and controls, both in cloud and on-premises environments, as well as in the IoT sector.
Your Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing IT OT designs and Secure Software Development based on reference architecture definitions.
• Assisting in fostering software development competencies within the team, aiding DevOps in deploying secure software.
• Staying updated on technological advancements by implementing cutting-edge programming techniques, development tools, and industrial connectivity solutions. This involves engaging in educational opportunities, participating in communities of practice, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
• Delivering technical solutions that meet requirements with a strong emphasis on Developer and IoT communities, enhancing security processes, and facilitating process and functionality deployment.
• Providing technical solutions with a focus on high quality (QMS/regulatory standards), performance, and safety.
• Contributing to Information Security domains and projects execution within the Group security team.
• Assisting in executing multiple information security capabilities across different domains within the enterprise.
• Collaborating with numerous stakeholders within Philips and external vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, SNOW, among others.
• This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work with international teams and benefit from a hybrid working model (spending at least 3 days working from the office and up to 2 days from home).
You are the Ideal Candidate if You Have:
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in (industrial) engineering and/or software development.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing Industrial Internet of Things solutions within digital production systems.
• Minimum 8 years of software development engineering experience, with a strong background in .Net/C#.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization, regardless of technical expertise.
• Deep understanding of IT/OT connectivity protocols, particularly OPC-UA.
• Familiarity with industrial networking topology and infrastructure (e.g., edge), cloud-based data solutions, and Manufacturing IT security.
• Knowledge of equipment integration with SAP-ME and Azure IoT.
• Understanding of the medical industry, including standards and regulatory requirements in Healthcare production equipment, with a preference for experience in software validation.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent communication abilities (written and verbal).
• Experience in working within virtual project teams.
