We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Control (IFRS) Specialist to join our dynamic Financial Control team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting in accordance with IFRS standards. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of accounting-related projects and topics, including among others hedge accounting (FX), warranties and revenue recognition.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Control (IFRS) Specialist to join our dynamic Financial Control team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting in accordance with IFRS standards. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of accounting-related projects and topics, including among others hedge accounting (FX), warranties and revenue recognition.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Closing Activities: Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial close processes.
IFRS Compliance: Review and ensure compliance with IFRS standards, including the preparation and review of position papers.
Project Involvement: Participate in accounting-related projects, providing expertise on complex topics such as hedge accounting, warranties, revenue recognition, and pensions.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and manage relationships with various stakeholders within the organization.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Qualifications and Skills:
IFRS Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience with IFRS standards.
Experience: At least 6 years of experience at a Big Four firm or equivalent experience in a global organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
Certification: Certified Public Auditor (preferred).
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Project management Skills: Solid project management skills and ability to get things to a closure efficiently and handle multiple priorities at the same time.
