You will have the unique opportunity of raising the systems engineering competencies in the high tech industry to higher levels, building on the knowledge and insights generated by the research projects performed by your colleagues at our industry partners (ASML, Canon, ITEC, Philips, Thales, ThermoFisher Scientific and Vanderlande).This role involves conducting applied research, developing strategies and tools for AI integration, and working closely with our research teams to deploy these technologies effectively in an industrial environment.Your work will be in the research program Evolving Systems on the topic of rejuvenation of legacy code bases, using AI based techniques. The objective of the program is to reduce the cost of ownership over the lifetime of a product by removing technical debt. The work contains of developing proof of concepts to demonstrate the problem, develop different scenarios for solution and demonstrate the value, constraints and benefits of these solutions and help bring them into industrial use.
