E2E Service Monitoring Team is responsible for enabling event monitoring and dashboarding of KPN Voice Services. We collect raw data from the services and make it presentable to the NOC and the voice ops teams.
For this we use open source tools such as Nagios, Apache and Airflow. Vendor bought applications such as ElasticSearch and Sigos call generator. We integrate these ourselves using PHP, Python and other forms of scripting. In the future our scope will expand beyond Voice Services with a strong focus on early detection/predicting outages by leveraging Machine Learning.

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our End-to-End Service Monitoring team. The team consist of 4 people who are developing and maintaining the monitoring tools and dashboards.

Target:
- Develop and maintain monitoring frameworks and tools to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of our voice services.
- Design, build, and configure monitoring dashboards and visualizations to provide real-time insights into service performance and health.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop monitoring strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of monitoring solutions to ensure accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement end-to-end service monitoring solutions for KPN Voice Services.
- Collaborate with the operations team to provide timely resolution of incidents and identify areas for improvement in service monitoring.

Who are you? You have/are:
- A team player, investigative, independent and self-starting
- 3-5 years’ experience with:
o Software design/specification
o Programming: python, GIT, PHP, HTML,CSS, shell scripting and SQL (MySQL)
o Reporting environments: Graphite, ElasticSearch, Grafana and Tableau
o Security by design
o Automated testing and deployment
- Experience with one or more of the following is desired:
o Conceptual: VoIP (IMS and VoLTE) – eases communication with voice teams.
o Conceptual: data networks: TCP/IP routing, switching and firewall - you will be developing Client/Server applications and need to be able to troubleshoot these with our networking colleagues.
o Linux (Redhat): administrator level – although system administration is done by a separate team you need to know how the application and the os interact.
o Web-serving: Apache / NGINX / WAF and FastAPI / Uvicorn
o Event monitoring: Nagios and NRPE
o CI/CD: Jenkins, Ansible and Jira
o Airflow
o Podman (containers)
o Experience with machine learning algorithms that can assist in finding anomalies and predicting outages.
o Redis
