Freelance Demand and Supply Manager R&D Test Areas (ZZP)

Introduction

The Development & Engineering (D&E) Housing, Safety & Compliance department, as part of the D&E Performance and Integration Cluster, is responsible for supporting Global Product Safety & Compliance, Procedure Safety and Environmental Health & Safety at D&E. The D&E business function is responsible for process and product development within ASML and is mainly located in Veldhoven, Wilton and San Diego (US) and consists of approximately 17.000 employees.

Within D&E Housing, Safety & Compliance, we facilitate & ensure that ASML is developing products that comply to regulations and customer requirements. As part of our drive to ‘future-proof’ our products, ASML aims to comply with legislation on product safety. Driven by D&E objectives, a mature test area management is required to achieve this.

Job Description

As a Demand and Supply Manager you will drive the quarterly demand and supply cycle together with the stakeholders within the clusters of D&E.

Activities drill down to:

• Liaise on daily basis with Test Area Managers to identify demand and supply for the test area assigned to them  

• Develop and deploy a spot plan per building

• Develop a damage report for the not supplied requests

• Maintain overview of all R&D test equipment, required utilities, business need per test equipment and possible priority setting; 

• Escalate possible conflict between clusters to Test Area Manager Veldhoven

• Liaise with Corporate Real Estate to maintain overview of supply

• Identify possible cost savings and monitor x-charge of m2

Education

• BSc or MSc in any technical domain.

Experience

• Add a motivation letter

• 5+ years of work experience in complex technology and international organization(s)

• Experience in R&D organization is a plus 

• Proven track record in initiating and facilitating changes and Influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority

Context of the position

R&D in Veldhoven consists of Research and a large group of D&E employees. It is the largest community with the ASML organization in Veldhoven with approximately 13,000 employees. Testing is a key element in all the phases of our product generation process. Organizing and managing these test activities in a safe and efficient way will contribute to the overall success of ASML.

You will report directly to the D&E Group Leader ‘R&D Housing’ as part of the Housing Safety and Compliance  Department which is a department of the Quality and Continuous Improvement Cluster. The primary internal interfaces are the Test Area Managers, Project Coordinators and the Lab and tool safety group. More external are the stakeholders in the Research and D&E Clusters like Cluster Managers, cluster Test Area Managers, Test equipment owners and in the Business Lines project managers and product development managers.

This position doesn’t require access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Working location is Veldhoven, no travel required, working from home is (limited) possible.
