Join Our Team as a Data Engineer in the DSH Data Exchange Team

Are you a skilled Data Engineer looking to make an impact in the world of data integration and innovation? We invite you to join the Data Exchange Team (DEX) within the DSH project, where you'll play a pivotal role in integrating Data Space components with our cutting-edge platform.



About the Role:

As a Data Engineer in the DEX team, you will:

- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure data solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange within the Data Spaces Ecosystem.

- Work with a dynamic team using agile methodologies to deliver value at scale with tomorrow’s technologies.

- Collaborate closely with IT and business innovation departments to ensure the effective integration of Data Space components into the DSH platform.

- Engage in continuous communication with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.



About DSH:

DSH is a Kafka-based managed platform designed to enable efficient, secure, and scalable data sharing among multiple parties. Our vision is to lead the Data Spaces Ecosystems and revolutionize Data Exchange. The platform is cloud-agnostic, with multiple instances already operational on AWS and Azure.




Your Skillset:

We are looking for a Data Engineer who can build and maintain production-grade solutions with a focus on robustness, scalability, fault tolerance, and security. The ideal candidate will have:

- Advanced software engineering skills and knowledge of distributed computing and event-driven processes.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Scala, Rust).

- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes).

- Expertise in microservices development (e.g., REST).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure, Maven).

- Proficiency in Linux and basic scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).

- Experience with message bus technologies (e.g., Kafka, MQTT).

- Understanding of virtual environment elements (keyvaults, networks, gateways, proxies, accounts, storages).

- A defensive programming mindset to ensure the highest levels of security and reliability.



Extra Information:


  • Looking for a candidate who can handle both Ops and Dev. T-Shaped with a lot of technical knowledge

  • DSH platform

  • Must: Kubernetes, Docker, Java, Skala, Raft, Python, Kafka (must have worked with this, in-depth knowledge is not necessary).

  • The more technical knowledge from the profile, the better.

  • DevOps engineer with data knowledge. Data exchange, data spaces, airflow.

  • Pre: Network experience

  • The team currently consists of 3 people and is looking to strengthen a 4th person. One person from the team is a specialist in Ops, one person is a specialist in Dev and one person can do both. Looking for a person who can do both.
