Job description

Are you the innovative Commercialization manager we are looking for? Do you have a drive for delivering product innovations together with our commercial counterparts to the market and a strong interest in working together with disciplines in- and outside our Supply Chain? Then we’re looking for you as our new member of the FC Professional Commercialization & Business Development team.

This role is focused on leading the excellent execution of the project portfolio and acting as the first point of contact for commercialization topics in- and outside our Supply Chain. It provides support to the management team of FS Professional to ensure that the content of the innovation project portfolio is in line with the innovation strategy, innovation KPI’s and the financial targets and that the projects in the portfolio are delivered according to the project plan. In this role you lead a team of project- and commercialization managers responsible for delivering new products and improved routes to market through effective project management. You report directly to Commercialization & Business Development lead.

FC Professional develops, produces, and commercializes a range of dairy products with added value, targeted at professional customers such as bakeries, fast food chains, hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as industrial food companies.


What are you going to do?

As a commercialization manager, you act as a general point of contact for our (internal) SC customers regarding new product innovations and product portfolio management. Your role forms the linking pin between our Fighting Units on one hand, and our supply plants and other supply chain teams on the other.

You’ll be the owner of the FC-P global portfolio for the plants that you manage and ensure portfolio healthiness from a SC point of view in collaboration with your commercial counterparts. You will also ensure right portfolio balance and the right priorities within the commercialization team.

Your other objective is to manage product innovations and changes of products in the most effective and efficient way, by finding the optimal supply chain solution, to ensure that our customers and consumers are served in the most optimal way.

All in all, the commercialization team ensures the delivery of customer centric, end-to-end supply chain solutions for new and changing products/concepts requested by our Fighting Units.



Your responsibilities are:

•  Design customer focused, E2E supply chain solutions for new or changed products/concepts

•  Coordinate our Professional commercialization activities and coach the team in delivering against and beyond aspired commercialization standards; driving KPI and process improvements

•  Manage stakeholders across make, P&D, marketing and sales at tactical level (plant and cluster management, brand manager/lead, R&D, QA, Procurement).

•  Implement successful introductions of new products and changes

•  First point of contact of business teams for new products or portfolio related questions, introduce and implement the requests in the full supply chain

•  Drive make or buy decisions for supply chain solutions for new concepts, by assessing the capabilities, complexity and capacity options together with our supply chain partners in R&D, Quality and Procurement

•  Lead projects, manage and maintain a realistic timeline in projects and take immediate action to minimize impact in case of delays

•  Participate in multi-disciplinary projects with customer focus to deliver product innovations and lead projects with supply chain focus

•  Execute product portfolio review for own scope in line with our aligned drumbeat and drive relevant decision making accordingly, based on supply chain and customer input

•  Support tender project managers of the Fighting Unit (e.g. providing required data, supply connections, cost price requests) and execute capability and complexity check for products/ SKU in scope.

Practical information & what we ask (requirements):

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or Marketing

  • Minimum of 7 years of (project) management experience

  • Experience and knowledge of different supply chain functions within FMCG

  • Commercial and financial affinity, customer focused mindset

  • Understanding of B2C innovation dynamics

  • Entrepreneurial, strong stakeholder management and networking skills

  • Pragmatic, seeking for solutions that can be implemented efficiently and effectively, drive for results

  • Innovative thinker, excited by challenges specifically for SC and new idea’s, seeking solutions and new approaches

  • Able to manage and coach people, enthusiastic team player

  • Strong communication and stakeholders management skills

  • Able to frequently travel to the relevant supply locations

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Affinity with planning- and reporting systems (SAP/OMP/MSTR) is a plus

  • Experience in People Management, Project Management and Portfolio Management in Supply Chain is a must

  • Experience with Friesland Campina is a plus

  • Occassional working from home possible only after the onboarding

  • Minimum 3 days per week

  • Independent learner, proactive approach

  • Can be only English speaking, Dutch language is a plus
